Case Study: Industrial Clothing

Industrial Clothing is a manufacturer and distributor of high quality workwear, designed to withstand the demands of the toughest workplaces. They needed an ordering platform that allows their B2B customers to place orders directly into their Sage ERP, day or night.

The challenge

Industrial Clothing’s main objective was to provide their trade customers with a way to easily access pricing and stock availability without having to phone a sales rep during office hours.

In addition, the company has two WooCommerce websites that serve as catalogues for each of their brands, Javlin Workwear and Salty Leisurewear. Industrial Clothing needed a way to centralise the management of these ecommerce platforms for greater efficiency.

The goals

  • Streamline product management on multiple online channels (omni-channel)
  • Provide an online access to accurate stock and pricing data to B2B customers
  • Automate order creation in the Sage ERP

The solutions

Stock2Shop provided a way for Industrial Clothing to manage their online products centrally for a more efficient workflow, automating product updates and sales order creation. Here’s how we did it:

Streamline online product management on multiple online channels

  • Inventory and pricing data is syncing from Sage into Industrial Clothing’s Stock2Shop console.
  • Additional marketing enrichment (eg images, categories and long descriptions) is loaded onto Industrial Clothing’s Stock2Shop console, making the products ready for presentation online.
  • Products are synced from the console to two WooCommerce websites and a B2B Trade Store.

Provide a pre-built B2B Trade Store

  • Industrial Clothing has excellent online presence, with two websites showcasing their product catalogues. They needed a login-protected portal where trade access sensitive information and place orders.
  • In addition to product data, customer information is synced from Sage, including customer-specific discounts and warehouse allocation. This means that customers always see accurate pricing and stock availability when they log in.
  • Products are segmented in Sage by category, range, brand and gender, and these segmentations are represented as filters on the Trade Store for easy navigation.

Automate ordering

  • Industrial Clothing offers their clients the option to pay upfront by credit card or order on account.
  • ForCustomers ordering on account - if they are in arrears or have been placed on hold in Sage, the ERP will reject the order and notify Industrial Clothing to contact the customer.
